The Mason First United Methodist Church is 170 years old, and is one of the largest churches in the growing and picturesque community of Mason, Michigan. Mason is the County Seat for Ingham County with the church located on the downtown square, across the street from the ornate and stately Court House. Mason First United Methodist Church has 515 members and is well known and respected in both the community and the denomination for its stability, balance and sense of mission. Thirteen staff members are working diligently to help the congregation develop and fulfill a vision for ministry within this growing southeastern bedroom community of Lansing. |

Vital Signs of Discipleship
As Disciples of Jesus
Christ, we believe that the model for being a healthy and
growing Christian includes practicing the following disciplines:
• Worship – both private
and corporate
• Prayer – both private and corporate
• The study of the Holy Bible
• Growing to both understand and produce the "Fruits of the Spirit"
(Gal. 5: 22 – 26)
• Discovering and utilizing our "Spiritual Gifts" in serving God and
others
with both our time and talents. (I Corinthians 12, Romans 12 and Colossians 3)
• Personal and spiritual accountability to God and the community of faith
in matters pertaining to Christian faith and practice
• A plan for tithing (giving 10% of our income)
• Reaching out to unbelievers and inviting others to become part of the
community of faith.
